Des de sempre, l'humanitat ha vinculat l'oest, el ponent, on s'acaba el dia, amb la mort. No deu ser pas cap casualitat que el cementiri de Perafita estigui situat just l'oest del poble. Aquest és el carrer que hi mena, des de l'església.

Most human cultures have linked west and the sunset with death (most notably in ancient Egypt, were all tombs are located in the west bank of the Nile).
It's no accident that in Perafita the cementery lays just to the west ot the village. Here you could see it from the church square.
