Les esglesies castrals (és a dir, de castell) de St. Andreu del Castell d'Oliana, en primer terme, i de Sta. Maria de Castell-llebre, al fons, tenen reminiscencies tolkenianes. No és que JRR Tolkien les conegues en absolut, sino que més aviat son com les Minas Tirith i Minas Morgul catalanes, i com aquelles, amb un riu al mig, el Segre!

In western Catalonia we have a kind of tolkeniesque "two towers", like Minas Tirith and Minas Morgul. In the foreground you have St. Andreu del Castell, in the ruins of Oliana castle, and up in the mountains the church of Castell-llebre castle (Sta. Maria). We even have a river running between both 'towers' (not the Anduin), the Segre.
