Yoko Kojima- myworld: balloongirls2

Me and my world

I am a part-time student, a full-time mom, and a job seeker. I love doing crafts with my kids.

I am showing some of my creations and my precious children in those pictures.

The first picture shows my daughters with balloon animals I made. I often dream about being a balloonist to give a lot of joy to children when I am retired.

The second picture is a close-up of the ribbon sculpture hair clips I made for fund-raising. I started up Cutie Clippie, my own fund raising project for Japan Earthquake Relief in which I combined my hobby and my volunteer work.

The third picture is myself with some jewelry I made. I love making jewelry using power stones and enjoy wearing them everyday.

The fourth picture is my daughter with "mochi", or rice cake we made. We pound mochi for new years in Japan, and I tried to teach Japanese culture to my kids. They loved doing it because hand-made mochi are so yummy!

The last one is our kids in front of fountain in our condo. We love spending time in a relaxing atmosphere there.

I found most challenge in taking picture indoor with limited light source. I tried using tripod and it made it little easier to focus in a stable condition.

I also wanted to take pictures of my kids in motion, but I still cannot figure out the best setting, since their moves are so unpredictable.

I hope I can capture the right moments as I get used to my camera...
