Water Lettuce (Pistia stratiotes)

I first saw these floating in the water at Silver Springs when I was a kid. I collected a couple of plants years later and keep them growing in a small goldfish pond in the yard. They will not survive the winter in Georgia, but multiply rapidly during the summer.
