Otoroshi

The Otoroshi is one of my favorite of all the Yokai! See, it's this big, ugly monster that hangs out just above the front gate or entrance to a church, temple, or monastery. And if an impious person tries to enter the holy place, BAM!!!!!! The otoroshi leaps down and gobbles them right up!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm just saying, we could use a few of those around here.
