Bolg, Son of Azog

For those of you who have seen The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (but have not read the book), I need to explain a little. In the book, Azog did indeed die at the battle referenced in flashback. His son, Bolg, shows up at the very end of the book, in the Battle of Five Armies. At first, I thought that the movie would perhaps replace Bolg with Azog, but then I ran across this. So, waht's going to happen to Azog? I have a feeling that he might not survive the second movie of the trilogy.

Bolg is more than simply Azog's son, he also ruins an entire army of orcs and goblins with an iron fist. In the book, he leads his horde against Thorin, the men of Laketown, and the wood elves of Mirkwood in an attempt to claim the treasure of Erebor. His presence is what brings the other groups together. Thorin tries to defeat Bolg, but finds himself unable to break through Bolg's troll bodyguards. Bolg kills Fili and Kili and mortally wounds Thorin, but then Beorn the Skinchanger makes a surprise appearance in the battle, crushes Bolg's trolls, and rips him limb from limb!

Interestingly, apparently in the movies, Bolg will also make an appearance at Dul Guldur as the prison warden. Hmmmmmm...
