Gorgon Bull
So, D&D took Gorgons and called them Medusae (Medusas? Medusases?), and then took the Catoblepas and called it a Gorgon, and then also made a Catoblepas, too.
Gorgon Bulls appear to be made of metal, and breathe a poisonous gas that can petrify people. And, uh... well, there you go. Dungeons & Dragons and mythology.
