Pop quiz, what do these two guys have in common?
-Evil older brother of the hero.
-Extremely evil and cruel, commits a hilarious amount of atrocities.

-Sets off ALL the events of the series. The hero would have lived fairly peacefully (or died quickly against a powerful villain) if the brother had not shown up.

Yep! And the last part is true, too - sure, Raditz's landing was what turned Dragon Ball into Dragon ball Z, and Jagi's manipulation made Shin go bonkers and give Ken those scars, but both guys are just kind of forgotten after they died. At the very least, Buronson and Hara remarked that they wished they had done more with Jagi. But alas, Raditz ain't got no respect.
