While most people were out enjoying the remainder of their holiday weekend, railroads still needing to move traffic. With 3 SD40-2s howling in dynamic braking, the train crosses the Newaygo River Bridge in downtown Newaygo. In just a short ways the brakes will be knocked off and the engineer will begin the hard pull up the steep Newaygo hill. River-goers enjoy the nice warm July afternoon while the train crew still has a ways to go down to Turner St. where they will tie down for the next crew.
