Ticking bombs with faulty clocks
I was out and about when I got a tip that an NS SD40E was going to be leading a unit oil can west on the BNSF Aurora Sub. The train could have sat in Chicago all day, but I wasn't going to assume. I headed 1 hour west and setup for what would hopefully come. Im glad I left when I did because not 15 minutes after I got here its unmistakeable high-headlight rounded the bend and I pulled off my photo.
Oh, I should also mention I was unbelievably close of getting cloud banged. Not 3 seconds after I snapped the shutter did the whole unit go into cloud cover. In fact, look closely at the foreground; everything is shadowed directly ahead of the train!
