LeRoy KTCH 4

A nice detail shot that I captured after doing the main kitchen shots. As usual this was a tricky shot, the main challenge was lighting the stairway and alcove above the stairway. Lighting set up is a follows, all SB-800's in SU-4 mode:

One CL on tripod on the countertop pointed into the room, wide angle diffusion at 1/32nd power. The placement of this one was difficult because I kept picking up the flash in the microwave, I had to move it a few times to not create a horrible hot spot.

One CR above countertop, full diffusion pointed away from the camera and towards the ceiling at 1/4 power.

One behind counter pointed CL, bare bulb at 1/64th power, you can see the reflection of that light in the frig, the brown line. I actually like that quite a bit.

One in the family room CR, wide angle diffusion pointed into the corner, 1/4 power. You can see a slight shadow from this light in the stairwell.

One in the family room CL, wide angle diffusion pointed away from the camera and into the hallway at 1/16th power.

One in upper stairway, wide angle diffusion pointed CR at 1/8th power, up and into the ceiling to create a nice blanket of light filling the stairway. Wish I had had more time to work on that area of the photo, but is still came out fairly well.

Lastly one on camera, wide angle diffusion pointed directly at the ceiling, 1/8th power.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this one.
