Another difficult lighting situation because of the overhang and the direct light. This one I did wait as long as I could for the direct light to die down somewhat. Usual SB 800 set up:
One on camera, full diffusion at 1/2 power
One camera left, full diffusion pointed away from table into the wall for the blanket light effect, 1/4 power
One camera right behind and below counter. This was really tricky because of the huge unmovable mirror across the room. I usually would have placed the light similarly to the one camera left, but when I did that you could see it, or it's effect in the mirror. So I needed to (eventually) place it directly under the counter with the wide angle diffuser pointed into the kitchen. Forget what power but probably 1/8th.
2 camera right in the family room. One was pointed up with full diffusion at full power and one was pointed into the room towards the fireplace with the wide angle diffuser at 1/2 power.
