Tumbling Flower Beetle (Mordellaria serval)

Mordellaria serval (Say, 1835). Found at Mayville Ledge Beech-Maple Woods SNA in east-central Wisconsin. Dodge County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Beetle is in the 4-5mm range.

 

Found in mixed hardwood forest. It landed on a nice lichen-encrusted spot on a fallen American beech tree.
