Striped Lowland Snake (Leptodrymus pulcherrimus)
Leptodrymus pulcherrimus (Cope, 1874) - Striped Lowland Snake. Tentative ID based on www.inaturalist.org images. Found at Palo Verde Biological Station, inside Palo Verde National Park. Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica.
Found off of Sendero El Guayacán. Saw several of these beauties on this day in this spot. Unfortunately all of the ones I saw were very actively slithering around in the leaf litter and this is the only really in-focus shot I got.
