Blister Beetle (Gnathium minimum)

Gnathium minimum (Say, 1823). Found at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in west central Wisconsin. Jackson County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Found in oak/pine barrens habitat.

 

An uncommonly encountered species. Notice the long sucking mouthparts.
