Tiger Beetle (Cicindela scutellaris)

Cicindela scutellaris Say, 1823 - Festive Tiger Beetle. Found at Buckhorn State Park in central Wisconsin. Juneau County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Found on one of the high quality sand blows at this park. It was just finishing up a meal. Some food scraps are visible on the mandibles.
