Weevil

Found at Buckhorn State Park in central Wisconsin. Juneau County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Two or three of these were found on underside of a thin circular section/slab cut from a felled conifer. The slab was laying on forest floor.

 

I think it's a Pine Weevil of sorts, tribe Hylobiini.
