Slime mold and round fungus beetles
Found at Mayville Ledge Beech-Maple Woods SNA in east-central Wisconsin. Dodge County, Wisconsin, USA.
Found in mixed hardwood forest. Found on the trunk of a dead fallen debarked hardwood tree. Beetle entrance/exit holes visible on sides of both slime mold fruiting bodies.
