Long-horned Beetle (Xylotrechus colonus)
Xylotrechus colonus (Fabricius, 1775) - rustic borer. Tentative ID based on bugguide.net images. Found at Mayville Ledge Beech-Maple Woods SNA in east-central Wisconsin. Dodge County, Wisconsin, USA.
Found in mixed hardwood forest. It was found on the trunk of a dead fallen hardwood tree. It was not very active at all, maybe moribund. It only moved slightly when prodded.
