Cylindrical Bark Beetle (Colydium lineola)

Colydium lineola Say, 1826. Found at Mayville Ledge Beech-Maple Woods SNA in east-central Wisconsin. Dodge County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Found in mixed hardwood forest. Found on the trunk of a standing dead debarked hardwood tree that had a number of borer holes.
