Central American Indigo Snake (Drymarchon melanurus)

Drymarchon melanurus (Duméril, Bibron & Duméril, 1854) - Central American Indigo Snake. Tentative ID based on www.inaturalist.org images. Found at Palo Verde Biological Station, inside Palo Verde National Park. Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica.

 

Found off Sendero El Pizote. This beauty looked to be trying to find a way to get up into a large tree.
