Robber Fly with prey
Found at Hotham River Nature Reserve, S of Pingelly. Western Australia, Australia.
Saw 6-7 of these robbers perching on the dry sand on the high quality sandy bank of Hotham River. They were beautifully marked and colored to blend in with the sand. This male had a bug as prey, possibly Saldidae.
