Mating Four-Spotted Fungus Beetles (Ischyrus quadripunctatus)

Ischyrus quadripunctatus (Olivier, 1791). Found at Abraham's Woods SNA in southern Wisconsin. Green County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Found on whitish fungus on fallen tree in hardwood forest. The female seemed to be munching on the fungus.
