Scarab Beetle (Cnemida intermedia)

Cnemida intermedia Bates, 1888. ID based on revision of the genus Cnemida. Found at Palo Verde Biological Station, inside Palo Verde National Park. Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica.

 

Found on Sendero El Guayacán. This beauty was crawling on forest debris in middle of trail.
