Robber Fly with prey

Found at Hotel Bougainville, in Penedo municipality in state of Rio de Janeiro in southeastern Brazil.

 

Atomosiini of sorts. Prey looks to be a stingless bee.

 

Found on trunk of pine tree (facing downward) on grounds of hotel. Several of these were hanging out on the hotel's pine trees.
