Robber Fly

Found at Reserva Ecológica de Guapiaçu (REGUA), in Cachoeiras de Macacu municipality in state of Rio de Janeiro in southeastern Brazil.

 

Female Asilinae of sorts. Thinking Amblyonychus sp. She had been buzzing me and then landed on the trail. Allowed me a couple of shots.

 

Found on Green Trail (Trilha Verde).
