Tiger Beetle

Found on Las Piedras River in Madre de Dios region in southeastern Peru.

 

Found on sandy beach/riverbank on Las Piedras River near Las Piedras Amazon Center concession. Very flighty and difficult to approach.

 

Thanks much to the LPAC staff for ferrying me around to several beaches on the river.
