Male Psilocurus sp. Thanks to Eric Fisher for confirming my tentative determination on 'diptera.info' website. Found on Las Piedras River in Madre de Dios region in southeastern Peru.
Found on sandy beach/riverbank on Las Piedras River near Las Piedras Amazon Center concession. This beauty was perching on fallen dead plant stems on the beach.
