Robber Fly (Pegesimallus sp.) with prey
Pegesimallus sp. Found at Goukamma Nature Reserve, WNW of Buffelsbaai. Western Cape, South Africa.
Found in coastal forest habitat along the Buffalo Bay Trail. Unfortunately this beauty had landed in a spot surrounded by tangled forest vegetation and I could not maneuver for a lateral shot.
