Turtle Ant (Cephalotes sp.)

Cephalotes sp. Found at La Selva Biological Station, near Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí. Heredia Province, Costa Rica.

 

Found at the Arboleda (Holdridge Arboretum). There was a trail of these crawling up/down the trunk of a living tree.
