Slender Glass Lizard (Ophisaurus attenuatus)
Ophisaurus attenuatus Cope, 1880 - Slender Glass Lizard. Found in south central Wisconsin. Columbia County, Wisconsin, USA.
These are listed as Endangered in Wisconsin. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon it. Unfortunately I only got a couple of shots before it spooked and slithered off into the longer grass.
Found on sandy path in oak savanna.
