Robber Fly with prey

Found at Bontebok National Park, S of Swellendam. Western Cape, South Africa.

 

Male Stichopogon sp., I believe. This robber was in the 4-5mm range. Prey is a pygmy mole-cricket, family Tridactylidae (thanks to Henrik Gyurkovics for the det).

 

Found on sandy bank area of Breede River, at Die Stroom. Found approximately here: 34.07573S 20.43117E.
