Mating Lichen Mimic Beetles (Pristoderus chloreus)

Pristoderus chloreus Turco & Ślipiński, 2012. Thanks to Dr. Federica Turco for providing the species determination via private email. Found at Main Range National Park, off Crest car park. Queensland, Australia.

 

Found on a large tree stump at side of trail on Rainforest circuit. The stump was partially covered by mosses and had several of these beetles on it including a couple of mating pairs.
