Aterpogon cf. cyrtopogonoides Hardy. Thanks to Eric Fisher for providing the species determination via private email. Found at Redwood Park, just east of Toowoomba. Queensland, Australia.
I saw several of these beauties perching on blades of grass. They were pretty small, I would say in the 7-9mm range. I would have liked to have spent more time with them, but the rains moved in.
