Male Agapophytus australasiae Guérin, 1831. Thanks to Shaun Winterton for providing the species determination on related photo. Found at edge of Cooloola Recreation Area, off Mullens car park. Great Sandy National Park. Queensland, Australia.
Found in open space boundary/right-of-way between Cooloola Recreation Area and Toolara State Forest. This beauty was found on the trunk of one of the large trees in the open space. It was initially at eye-height, but after a couple flashes from my camera it moved up the trunk and out of reach.
Found in this general vicinity: 25.99900S 207.03042W.
Single exposure, uncropped, handheld, in situ. Canon MT-24EX flash unit, Ian McConnachie diffuser.
