Beetle Larva
Found at Bastrop State Park in central Texas, ESE of Austin. Bastrop County, Texas, USA.
There are a lot of downed trees at this State Park and I found a couple of these larvae under the bark of downed pine trees.
Possibly Cerylonidae? Adult cerylonids were nearby under same bark but I unfortunately did not get shots as they crawled away as I was shooting the larvae.
