Cicindela scutellaris Say, 1823 – Festive Tiger Beetle, I believe. Found at Spring Green Preserve SNA in south west-central Wisconsin. Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA.
Found in high quality sandy prairie habitat. Surprisingly it allowed me to get close enough to use the MP-E. It was an incredibly windy afternoon. Maybe the reason it allowed me to get close?
