Found on private property just north of Great Eastern Highway, ENE of Meckering. Western Australia, Australia.
Female Asilinae of sorts. Prey looks to be a wasp or small bee. Found on old weathered fallen tree on upland island in saline playa.
Found while hanging out with Jean and Fred Hort, whom I graciously thank for showing me around my first couple of days in WA and for sharing their extensive knowledge and for pointing out interesting plants and animals to me.
