Turtle/Gliding Ant (Cephalotes texanus)

Cephalotes texanus (Santschi, 1915). Found at Resaca De La Palma State Park in far southern Texas. Cameron County, Texas, USA.

 

Several of these were found on a branch. Hard to get a good shot as they seldom sat still.
