Longhorned Beetle

Female Necydalis mellita (Say 1835). Gotham Jack Pine Barrens SNA in south west-central Wisconsin. Richland County, Wisconsin, USA.

 

Found about chest high on a shrub. Part of mating pair. The female remained for a while after the male left.
