Mydas Fly

Diochlistus sp., I believe. Found at unnamed local park/forest west of Dawson Avenue in town of Theodore. Queensland, Australia.

 

This sizable beauty was flying around a large tree and landing on its trunk in various spots. Luckily it was landing about chest high or so!
