Bark Scorpion (Centruroides vittatus) and the Barklouse

Centruroides vittatus (Say, 1821). Thanks to Kari J McWest for providing the scorpion species determination on bugguide. Found at Resaca De La Palma State Park in far southern Texas. Cameron County, Texas, USA.

 

Found under bark of fallen tree. Barklouse looks like a Scaly-winged Barklouse, Family Lepidopsocidae.
