Robber Fly

Promachus sp. female, I believe. Ramsey Canyon Preserve in Huachuca Mountains. Cochise County, Arizona, USA.

 

Followed this one around for a bit before it settled nicely on a fallen tree limb. It allowed me to approach it, very slowly and steadily of course.
