1979 Datsun 240K GT (c.2002)
I bought this one for £100 from a garage in Suffolk, I think the previous owner had worked for Bolton's the Datsun dealership in Ipswich and it's certainly a local registration that would have come from them new. I had a Laurel in the same JDX...V batch which is still around.
I'd seen this one around Ipswich several times over the years, but by the time I bought it the poor old thing had sat for a year or two. Looked shiny, and it certainly yielded some very good panels, but it was horribly rusty underneath and around the vinyl roof.
The Peugeot belonged to our neighbours who had a selection of rubbish old cars over the years. DVLA says this 309 came off the road in 2002, helping me to date this pre-digital photo.
