Market Hill, Sudbury old postcard 1960s
I'm always pleased to find cards showing this scene - hadn't seen this particular one before. I don't think it's too much later than early-mid 1960s?
As to be expected, the cars look to be mostly domestic makes and models (with one or two larger examples), but there are two VW Beetles.
Looks like the single-secker bus would be one of the Chambers fleet? It's different to the one we saw in another card I previously uploaded (below).
Good for me to see the Corn Exchange, presumably before it was converted to the public library. In this guise we went in there pretty much every week to get books, and in the '80s I borrowed LPs which I then recorded at home.....
