The Square, Melrose old postcard late 1970s

It's a sunny Bank Holiday Monday, so time for a bit of virtual travelling and daydreaming about places we can't go to.

 

Melrose means more to me as the name of a Finnish band who John Peel regularly played. But it's also a town to the south-east of Edinburgh.

 

Datsuns 100A and 180B estate on the right. The former is pretending to be a bus and already appears to have an underseal tidemark.

 

Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeam is nicely showing off its all-glass tailgate. Several Cortinas, of course, and also what might be a matching pair of Allegro LEs?

 

Can't see if the Mercedes camper is LHD or RHD.
