The Stocks, Woodstock old postcard 1970s

Nicely linking this to one of the other Woodstock postcards, we have another NSU Ro80 to enjoy. I know the colours can't always be trusted, but I think it is a different example.

Of equal importance there's also the Chrysler 2-litre, appropriately next to an Avenger and maybe a Hunter.

The green Triuph Herald could be a late one, so might only be a few years old, but there's something with more of a 1950s look parked the other side of it.

Unsent card, no publisher's name nor reference given. However, there is a stuck-on caption that reads "The ancient and historic borough of Woodstock was for centuries a royal hunting box and was famous for the making of hand-made gloves. Nearby, in its walled park, stands the magnificent Blenheim Palace."

I have been to Blenheim on a Cotswolds trip some years ago, chances are I would have visited Woodstock or at least driven through it. The towns and villages there are undeniably attractive, but they do blur into one in my memory.
