A shame the photographer didn't catch another car or two on this clear, bright shot.
The Mk4 Cortina SSM 374T was a 1.6 GL, which made it to 1989. The silver lower half looks non-standard to me, I can't recall a special edition with this treatment.
The Carlton (another facelift 1.8 GL, as seen at Moffat) was A802 HSW, taken off the road in 1998.
Bedford HA van, Citroen GS/GSA and possibly a Granada Mk1 in the distance?
