43077 Dawlish 29th August 1998
Midland Mainline power car 43077 leads whist 43076 pushes on rear the 06:05 Leeds to Newquay on 29th August 1998.
The two power cars started out as part of Eastern Region set 254011 in 1978 which allowed it to stary onto Cross Country routes. Both power cars swapped to the Midland Mainline in the early 1990's. 43077 was re-engined with a Paxman VP185 in the early 2000's whilst 43077 went back to the East Coast being renumbered as 43277 once it had been re-engineered in the mid 2000's with an MTU power unit.
After being replaced with newer trains 43077 was bought by Data Acquisition & Testing Services (DATS) and 43077 has become part of the Colas test train fleet.
