43136 Swindon 27th March 1997
43136 will have its Paxman Valenta engine screaming as it leaves Swindon with a London Paddington service helped by 43010 at the rear on 27th March 1997. I'm not too sure what the livery was but do remember it being unusual to see a complete rake.
I'm not up to speed on HST's but this particulate PC was new in the late 1979 as Cross Country set 253033. Over the years it had spells with Virgin Cross Country, GNER, and various Great Western franchises before ending up with Scotrail where it's still in service with its MTU power unit fitted in the mid 90's
With thanks to Rob D2 the livery was known as "Merlin"
